ISLAMABAD, Nov. 12 (NNI): PTI Chairman Imran Khan continued criticism at Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Nawaz Sharif in London and talking important decisions abroad.
In a video speech to the long march protestors in Lala Musa in Punjab, the PTI chief renewed his call for general election, which he termed as the only solution to the political crisis.
Khan said he does not want an army chief of his choice but has been asking for the appointment on merit.
He said a civilised society does not allow that the country’s key decisions are taken abroad and by those who have been plundering the state’s wealth for the past 30 years.
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and PML-N supreme leader Nawaz Sharif held several round of meetings in London on issues including appointment of the new army chief. “I do not want to appoint an army chief of my choice, but I want the decision regarding the army chief’s appointment to be taken on merit,” he said.
With Khan’s speech PTI resumed long march from Lala Musa.
Earlier, the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Mahmood Khan visited Imran Khan at his Lahore residence. PTI sad Imran Khan reiterated that the only demand he has been raising since the past six months is to announce an early date for free and fair general elections in the country. NNI
