ISLAMABAD, Nov 28 (NNI): Special Assistant to Prime Minister Attaullah Tarar has said that the PML-N is making a strategy to use all available options to restore Hamza Shahbaz’s government in the Punjab province.
Speaking jointly outside the party’s Model Town office, PML-N leaders Atta Tarar and Azma Bukhari said the PML-N Parliamentary Consultative Group has decided to go till the end to ensure that the public mandate will not be affected in any case.
They said that they have multiple options with them to regain Punjab’s government. “We played our role for democracy and public mandate in a peaceful manner. A resolution was passed to complete the Punjab Assembly’s term,” Attaullah Tarar said.
He said the meeting consulted on file a no-confidence motion against the chief minister or instructing the governor to ask the provincial government to seek a vote of confidence. He said that Hamza Shehbaz will hold a meeting with a PPP delegation tomorrow and will discuss the no-confidence motion.
Tarar said political and legal options should be used and assemblies should not be dissolved. He said that imposing Governor’s rule was an option and consultations are being held. NNI
