Syria and Tanzanian Parliamentary delegation call on NA Speaker

Islamabad:10th May 2023: Dr. Joseph Kizito Mhagama, MP/ Chairperson Governance, Constitution and Legal Affairs Tanzania called on Speaker National Assembly Raja Pervez Ashraf on the sidelines of two-day International Constitutional Convention in Islamabad today.
Speaker thanked the MP for visiting Pakistan to attend the convention on the 50thanniversary of the Constitution1973. “Africa is our priority as defined in our Look Africa Policy and we are keen to enhance cooperation with all countries of the region”. he added.

Dr. Joseph while extending gratitude, appreciated the organization of the event and wished prosperity and progress for Pakistan. He added that the visit was relevant as Tanzania would also be reviewing its constitution, later in the year.

Both sides also discussed the upcoming IPU President’s Election, cooperation in agriculture sector and technology sector among other topics of mutual interest.
Later on , Mr. Slloum Al Salloum, Secretary of the Board, accompanied by a Syrian Parliamentary delegation also called on Speaker Raja Pervez Ashraf.

While warmly welcoming the delegation, the Speaker thanked them for visiting Pakistan to attend the convention on the 50th anniversary of the Constitution1973. Pakistan has friendly bilateral ties with Syria.

Mr. Slloum while extending gratitude, appreciated Pakistan’s continued assistance and support for Syria especially during the recent earthquake.Both sides also reviewed the whole spectrum of bilateral relations particularly parliamentary cooperation and religious tourism.
