ISLAMABAD (Staff Reporter) The newly established food street in the new campus for the students of the International Islamic University was inaugurated on Thursday by the president of the Jamia, Dr. Hazal Hamud Al-Otaibi. The Chief Commissioner/Chairman CDA was also accompanied by the Chief Guest of the function Captain (Rtd) Anwarul Haq. The Food Street was established in the light of the vision of the President of the University to provide the best facilities to the students. where they will have fast food, traditional dishes and other food and drink products available at one place with best quality. After the inauguration, University President and Chief Guest Captain (Rtd) Anwar ul Haq visited all the food chains, stalls and cabins. Are those reserved for different food items? On this occasion, the university president also met the students and inquired about the quality of food and service provision. Addressing the students, he said that providing all the facilities to you is our first priority. Dr. Hazal directed that the students should not face any problem. He said that the aim of the university administration is to provide an ideal environment to the students in the entire campus, after the student facility center, the opening of the food street is part of this mission. He said that more such facilities would be added in the near future and informed that more such cafes would be inaugurated this month. Appreciating this initiative, Captain (retd) Anwarul Haque said that it is good to see that the university management is trying to provide facilities to the students. He also appreciated the standards and environment of the food street. Both the guests were briefed on the new setup, quality food supply and hygiene measures. They were informed that the food stalls are designed in the style of a food street where students will have access to all food items including fast food, BBQ, traditional food, salad and other foods without any delay. She will soon inaugurate more cafeterias near Maryam Block, Women’s Campus and Mail Hostel No. 4. Later, Captain (Rtd) Anwarul Haque, Chairman CDA/Chief Commissioner called on the President of the University in his office. Where matters of mutual interest and the role of the university in building society were discussed. The President of the University apprised the Chairman CDA of the vision of the University and its newly established strategic plan. Captain (retd) Anwarul Haq appreciated the efforts of the President of the University for the betterment of the University and the convenience of its students.
