PAF enhances defence capabilities with cutting-edge inductions

BY Naveed Siddiqui RAWALPINDI: A momentous Induction and Operationalization Ceremony unfolded Tuesday at a key operational base of the Pakistan Air Force (PAF), graced by the presence of Chief of Army Staff, General Syed Asim Munir. Air Chief Marshal Zaheer Ahmed Baber Sidhu, Chief of the Air Staff, Pakistan Air Force, warmly welcomed the Chief Guest.
The event commenced with a meticulously executed Guard of Honour by a contingent of the Pakistan Air Force, showcasing a high level of discipline and precision. General Munir, during his speech, shed light on the latest additions to the PAF’s arsenal, including J-10C fighter jets, advanced air mobility platforms, modern radars, unmanned aerial systems, loitering munition capabilities, and long-range vectors. These acquisitions significantly enhance the country’s aerial defence capabilities.

Air Chief Marshal Sidhu emphasized the achievements, unveiling the Center of Excellence for Air Mobility & Aviation Safety, College of Air Defence, and the reinvigorated Air Power Centre of Excellence. He highlighted the operationalization of the National Aerospace Science and Technology Park, ensuring the PAF remains at the forefront of evolving challenges. Cyber and space technologies were also emphasized to fortify the defense of the nation.

COAS General Munir praised the operational readiness of the Pakistan Air Force, acknowledging its incorporation of state-of-the-art weapon systems contributing to regional power balance. Emphasizing indigenization and human resource development, he commended PAF’s dedication to technological advancements and operational excellence, reassuring the country’s preparedness against any aggression. The COAS also acknowledged PAF’s efforts in transporting relief goods for Gaza conflict victims.
The ceremony concluded with a captivating airshow, featuring diverse PAF fighter jets, training aircraft, and UAVs. The static display provided attendees, including the Chief Guest, a closer look at the PAF’s diverse fighter, air mobility, and UAV fleet.
