ISLAMABAD (DL News) – Afghanistan’s Deputy Prime Minister Maulvi Abdul Kabir during his meeting with JUI-F chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman and his delegation on Sunday has assured that they will not allow anyone to use Afghanistan’s land against anyone including Pakistan.

Jamiat-e-Ulema Islam (JUI-F) chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman’s visit comes amid strained relations between Pakistan and Afghanistan following a surge in militant attacks in Pakistan’s western regions.

Both leaders discussed the overall regional situation as well as matters of mutual interests.

Earlier, JUI-F chief departed for Afghanistan on the invitation of the interim Afghan government.

Sources said the JUI-F chief would discuss matters of mutual interests besides the overall regional security situation with a particular focus on the resurgence of the banned Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP).

JUI spokesperson Aslam Ghori said a high-level delegation of party leaders would flank the JUI-F chief.

The JUI spokesperson further said that Maulana Abdul Wasi, Maulana Salahuddin, Maulana Jamaluddin and Maulana Salimuddin Shamzai have also been included in the delegation.

Some of the religious scholars already landed in Kabul on Saturday while the Maulana along with other members of the delegation will join them on Sunday.
