RAWALPINDI: In a two-day official visit, General Syed Asim Munir, Chief of the Army Staff (COAS), engaged in crucial diplomatic meetings and events in the Kingdom of Bahrain.
ISPR statement said, General Munir met with The King of Bahrain, Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, and Crown Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, discussing matters of mutual interest, emphasizing bilateral military and security cooperation. The dignitaries commended Pakistan Army’s successes in the fight against terrorism and its ongoing efforts for regional peace.
The COAS was honored as the Chief Guest at the 27th Raising Day of Bahrain National Guard, where he received a warm welcome, a Guard of Honour, and observed a counter-terrorism training exercise demonstration. Commander Bahrain National Guard expressed gratitude for Pakistan Army’s professional training in military and counter-terrorism.
In recognition of his significant contributions to enhancing bilateral ties, the King of Bahrain conferred the Military Medal Order of Bahrain First Class upon COAS General Syed Asim Munir. The award underscores his efforts in fostering strong relations between the two brotherly nations.
