BERNE: The 12th round of Pakistan-Switzerland Bilateral Political Consultations unfolded in Berne, featuring discussions led by Ambassador Shafqat Ali Khan, Additional Foreign Secretary (Europe) from Pakistan, and Ambassador Heinrich Schellenberg, Assistant Secretary of State for Asia and Pacific. Both sides engaged in comprehensive discussions covering various facets of bilateral political relations, emphasizing cooperation in trade and investment, security, and migration.
The dialogue extended to regional dynamics, with a focus on understanding and addressing the evolving geopolitical landscape.
The two delegations delved into multilateral issues, reflecting the shared commitment to collaborating on global challenges.
The consultations reinforced the significance of Bilateral Political Consultations in enhancing the robustness of Pakistan-Switzerland relations.
Both nations expressed their commitment to ongoing collaboration, pledging to cooperate on matters of mutual interest.
During the visit, Ambassador Shafqat Ali Khan called on Ambassador Alexandre Fasel, the State Secretary for Foreign Affairs in Berne. Discussions between the two diplomats encompassed the strengthening of bilateral relations, with a specific focus on climate change, human rights, and development cooperation.
Importance of High-Level Exchanges: The officials underscored the significance of high-level exchanges, emphasizing their role in fostering understanding and cooperation.
Both sides agreed to intensify bilateral exchanges and dialogue, aiming to further solidify the bonds between Pakistan and Switzerland.
This round of political consultations reflects the commitment of both nations to a multifaceted partnership, encompassing diplomatic, economic, and societal aspects, and lays the groundwork for future collaborative endeavors.
