ATTOCK : The district administration Attock inked Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with E-learning Providers-Atom Camp and Moawin Foundation to equip the teachers of government schools and women entrepreneurs with digital skills of the district. Ghazi Barotha Development Agency, Moawin Foundation, COMSATS University Attock campus and Local Support Organization Network would also provide their technical support for the program. Former Naval Chief Admiral (retd) Asif Sindhila, former Federal Secretary Hamid Nawaz Khan, Ghazi Barotha Development Agency Chief Malik Fateh Khan, Atomic Camp Chief Dr Naveed Iftikhar Cheema, Director COMSATS University Attock Professor Dr Junaid Mughal, Moawin Foundation GM Programs Commander (Retired) Dr Naeem Tariq, Chaudhry Haq Nawaz of Local Support Organization Network, Additional Deputy Commissioner Finance and Planning Ms Maleeha Essar, Chief executive district Education authority Sajida Mukhtiar, Deputy district education officer Syed Taqi Shah and officials of local administration, education department and teachers were also present on this occasion.

The MoU was part of the district administration initiative “digital Attock” program aimed at equipping the male and female students of the government schools and female entrepreneurs with digital skills and e-learning for their empowerment through utilizing their digital skills. Speaking on this occasion, Deputy Commissioner Attock Rao Atif Raza has said that so far about 150 IT labs of government schools in Attock district have been upgraded under your assistance at a cost of about Rs 2.5 million which is a unique initiative in the history of the district. In addition, 300 IT teachers from across the district of the Learn and earn program five each in three groups. He said that Pakistan information technology board (PITB), Lahore University of Management Sciences (LUMS) and other related institutions have been hired for the training of the existing learn and earn program. Chief executive district Education authority Sajida Mukhtiar has said that under the “digital Attock” program- which is brain child of deputy commissioner, after successful training of the teachers of various boys and girls government schools, they further equipped their respective 550 students in more than 24 government schools with digital skills.
