LONDON: In a recent statement, the UK’s Foreign Secretary, Lord Cameron, has expressed significant concerns regarding the fairness and inclusivity of Pakistan’s recent elections. Lord Cameron commended all participants but highlighted several issues, including restrictions on political participation, internet access, delays in result reporting, and allegations of counting irregularities. He urged Pakistani authorities to uphold fundamental human rights and stressed the importance of a civilian government elected with a mandate for reforms. The UK reaffirmed its commitment to working with Pakistan’s next government across shared interests.
