ATTOCK : The students of Government Graduate College Attock exhibited their innovative models at the science fair here on Tuesday. Students present as many as 31 science based projects on various needs and questions of our daily life. The event was organized by science society to promote creativity, modern science and technology among the youth. The event featured open competition for science and technology based on innovative ideas, research, models, prototypes, processes and projects among students. A large number of students and academia turned up, evincing deep interest in the projects, and applauded the presenters. Deputy Commissioner Attock Rao Atif Raza inaugurated the fair. Deputy Director colleges Arshad Khan and principal Khalid Javaid were also present on this occasion. While addressing the inauguration ceremony, Deputy Commissioner Attock Rao Atif Raza has said that we can achieve real progress only through advances in science and technology. Mr Rao appreciated the students for exhibiting their capabilities. He said that the projects were highly impressive by their themes, design and presentation, while many of the projects related to computer science, chemistry, physics and biology had practical use. He asked the students to prepare themselves for the world of competition, which they were going to enter after completing their education. He appreciated the college management for holding the art and science extravaganza, and assured the students of his all-out support in resolving their issues. “ Participating in college science fairs can help you explore different branches of scientific study while contributing valuable information to the scientific community”, he added.
Earlier, Mr Rao has inspected all the science projects set up in the fair and expressed special interest in the innovative models displayed by the students at various stalls.
