RAWALPINDI: Chief of Air Staff, Air Chief Marshal Zaheer Ahmed Baber Sidhu embarked on a significant visit to Saudi Arabia aimed at enhancing bilateral defence cooperation between Pakistan and the Kingdom. According to ISPR statement, the visit included meetings with General Fayyadh bin Hamed Al-Ruwaili, Chief of the General Staff, Saudi Armed Forces, and His Royal Highness Lieutenant General Turki Bin Bandar bin Abdul Aziz, Commander of the Royal Saudi Air Forces.
During the visit, discussions were primarily focused on bolstering the already strong defence ties between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia, with a particular emphasis on collaboration between the two Air Forces. Both sides expressed a keen interest in conducting joint military exercises and exploring avenues for technological collaboration to enhance their respective capabilities.
Air Chief Marshal Zaheer Ahmed Baber Sidhu was honored during his visit with the prestigious King Abdul Aziz Badge of Honor of the Excellent Class. The award was presented by General Fayyadh bin Hamed Al-Ruwaili, Chief of the General Staff, Saudi Armed Forces, in recognition of Air Chief Marshal Sidhu’s significant contributions to fostering cooperation and friendship between the armed forces of Pakistan and Saudi Arabia.
