ISLAMABAD: In a significant move aimed at enhancing operational efficiency and addressing pressing challenges, the Chairman of the Capital Development Authority (CDA) has approved the appointment of Mr. Qaiser Khattak as the Director General (DG) of the Human Resource Directorate (HRD). This decision marks Mr. Khattak’s return to the HRD after a brief stint as the DG of the Environment Wing, where he was tasked with steering the wing towards the eradication of corruption and the restoration of its operational integrity.
The unexpected reshuffle also saw the removal of Syed Safdar Hussain Shah from the position of DG HRD due to his inability to meet the expectations set by Chairman Anwarul Haq. The reshuffle aims to harness the expertise of seasoned officers like Qaiser Khattak to drive key initiatives forward and ensure the effective management of human resources within the Authority.
Mr. Qaiser Khan Khattak’s tenure in the Environment wing was distinguished by notable achievements, including the successful removal of encroachments in parks and the preservation of the capital’s green spaces. His appointment to lead the HRD Directorate underscores the Authority’s commitment to integrity and competence in organizational management.
The appointment of Mr. Khattak as Director General (HRD) is expected to usher in a period of rigorous reforms within the Authority. His reputation as a diligent administrator, coupled with his past successes in combating corruption, bodes well for CDA’s organizational rejuvenation efforts.
Similarly, Mr. Khattak’s elevation to the role of Director General (HRD) underscores CDA’s resolve to prioritize employee welfare and security. His multifaceted experience positions him as a pivotal figure in steering the Authority towards its objectives in the coming years.
During his brief tenure in the Environment Wing, Mr. Khattak spearheaded several commendable initiatives, including the highest-ever plantation of 20,000 plants in F-9 park on a Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) basis, the establishment of new parks and Family Picnic areas in F-9 as per the original layout plan, and the complete restoration of the infrastructure of Lakeview Park through CSR efforts.
These accomplishments, achieved within a span of three months without utilizing any CDA funds, underscore Mr. Khattak’s commitment to efficiency and resourcefulness in project implementation.
As the CDA embarks on a new chapter under the leadership of Mr. Khattak, stakeholders remain optimistic about the prospects of meaningful change and progress. The proactive approach of Chairman Anwarul Haq to personnel management reflects the Authority’s unwavering commitment to excellence and accountability in fulfilling its mandate.
