LAHORE: Inspector General Police Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar has initiated priority measures to ensure the welfare of police employees and address their concerns. In a recent development, IG Punjab met with both police personnel and citizens at the Central Police Office to address grievances and provide relief.
During the meeting, IG Punjab listened to applications submitted by police employees and their families, subsequently issuing relief orders to address various concerns. Notably, relief on financial assistance requests was directed for Constable Sajjad Hussain and Ghazi Constable Ghulam Murtaza, under the supervision of DIG Welfare.
Furthermore, IG Punjab forwarded the application of Shahid Ashfaq, son of a police official, for recruitment as a junior clerk, emphasizing family claims, to AIG admin for necessary action. Additionally, after personally hearing the request for service reinstatement from Ghazi Constable Osama Umair, IG Punjab directed DIG Azhar Akram to provide relief accordingly.
In response to a citizen’s plea, IG Punjab instructed DPO Gujarat to take immediate action and apprehend the accused. Moreover, promotion requests of 06 personnel of Lahore Police were forwarded to CCPO Lahore with directions to proceed according to merit.
IG Punjab emphasized the importance of addressing the concerns of police employees, stating that such efforts are essential for demanding better performance. All supervisory officers were directed to utilize their powers to swiftly address the problems faced by subordinate staff, ensuring a conducive work environment.
Dr. Usman Anwar’s proactive approach underscores the commitment to enhancing the welfare of police personnel and fostering a more efficient law enforcement system in Punjab.
