ISLAMABAD: In a letter addressed to Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, President Joe Biden reiterated the United States’ steadfast commitment to the enduring partnership between the two nations. The correspondence underscores the pivotal role of this alliance in addressing global and regional challenges while ensuring the security and well-being of both nations’ citizens.
President Biden emphasized the collaborative efforts aimed at advancing shared objectives, including enhancing health security, fostering economic growth, and promoting universal access to education. Central to this agenda is the U.S.-Pakistan “Green Alliance” framework, which focuses on bolstering climate resilience, supporting sustainable agriculture and water management initiatives, and aiding in Pakistan’s recovery efforts following the catastrophic floods of 2022.
Moreover, the letter reaffirmed America’s dedication to collaborating with Pakistan in safeguarding human rights and fostering progress within the nation. President Biden expressed optimism about the prospects of further strengthening the partnership between the two countries and fostering deeper connections among their people.
