ISLAMABAD: Canadian High Commissioner Ms. Leslie Scanlon called on the Foreign Minister, Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar, Wednesday at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
Discussions were held on various aspects of Canada-Pakistan bilateral relations, including Canada’s development programs in Pakistan, humanitarian support post 2022 floods, economic and trade ties as well as Canadian investments in Pakistan, especially the Reko Diq Project in Balochistan. The Canadian High Commissioner expressed her gratitude to the Foreign Minister on the support extended by the Government of Pakistan to Canada’s Afghan Relocation Program.
The Foreign Minister emphasized the significance of strong ties between Pakistan and Canada, and highlighted the steps being undertaken by the Government in priority areas, particularly the stability of the economy and facilitation of the foreign investment in various sectors.
