Islamabad Police Noon police station team arrested two wanted members of a criminal gang involved in looting citizens and snatching activities and recovered motorbikes, mobile phones, cash and weapons from their possession, a public relations officer said.He said that, following the special directions of Inspector General of Police (IGP) Islamabad Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi, the Islamabad Police has intensified the crackdown against the criminal elements in order to eliminate the crime in the city.Following these directions, the Noon police team used technical and human resources and succeeded in apprehending two wanted members of a snatcher gang who were involved in several incidents of looting citizens at gunpoint.The accused were identified as Muhammad Amir and Zulifqar. The police team also recovered motorbikes, cash, mobile phones and weapons from their possession. Case was registered against the nabbed accused and further investigation is underway.DIG Islamabad Syed Ali Raza said that Islamabad Police is taking all possible measures to protect the lives and property of citizens, ensuring no criminal element disturbs the peace.Citizens are urged to cooperate with police and report any suspicious activity or information through the emergency helpline “Pucar-15” or the “ICT-15” app for immediate assistance.
