Inspector General of Police Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar continues to prioritize the welfare of police employees and their families. In line with this, 1.53 billion rupees have been spent on various welfare categories for the force in the first 07 months of this year. Punjab Police spokesperson said that 553 million rupees have been spent on educational scholarships for police employees’ children. 180 million rupees have been given in the form of medical assistance grants to employees facing health issues. 390 million rupees have been provided as wedding gifts to the daughters of police employees. 45 million rupees have been spent for funeral expenses and given to the families of the force. 203 million rupees have been given as farewell grants to police employees. 180 million rupees have been given as maintenance allowance to the families of employees.15.5 million rupees have been provided for the construction of homes for the families of police martyrs. Nearly 20 million rupees have been given for emergency aid and legal assistance funds to the police employees.IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar said that the difficulties of police employees have been alleviated through the police welfare fund and departmental welfare resources. IG Punjab also mentioned that the welfare branch is ensuring all possible efforts for the welfare of the police force and will provide maximum relief to the families of police employees.
