Lahore:Inspector General of Police Punjab, Dr. Usman Anwar, and Secretary Home Punjab, Noor-ul-Amin Mengal, arrived in Mianwali late Monday night. IG Punjab and Secretary Home reviewed the law and order situation in Kalabagh in detail. They urged both sects to remain peaceful. IG Punjab emphasized the urgent need to promote inter-sectarian harmony, unity, and tolerance. He said that peace would be ensured with the cooperation of all sects, religious scholars, community leaders, and security agencies. Hafiz Zubair Hassan, Divisional Peace Committee Lahore, Deputy Principal of Jamia Ashrafia Lahore, Mufti Raghib Naeemi, Chairman of Islamic Ideology Council, Qasim Ali Qasmi from Jamia Al-Muntazir Model Town Lahore, and scholars from Sargodha and District Mianwali also accompanied them. DPO Khushab Touqeer Muhammad Naeem, SP RIB Azhar Yaqoob, and other senior officers were also with IG Punjab.According to details, after checking the security arrangements for the Chehlum of Hazrat Imam Hussain (RA) and the Urs celebrations of Hazrat Data Ali Hajvari r.a in Lahore, IG Punjab departed for Mianwali. On the day of Chehlum, IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar spent a busy day in Dera Ghazi Khan, Multan, and Lahore. He remained consistently present in the field, reviewing the law and order situation and security arrangements. IG Punjab also met with community leaders, religious scholars from various sects, and members of the Peace Committee in Mianwali.
