Lahore:On the directives of Inspector General of Police Punjab, Dr. Usman Anwar, process of record promotions based on merit and seniority continues in Punjab Police. According to the Punjab Police spokesperson, four promotion boards were held over the past 10 days in the regions of Rawalpindi, Faisalabad, Multan, and Bahawalpur, during which a record 403 officers were promoted to the rank of Sub-Inspector. Among the promotions, 122 officers from Rawalpindi, 129 from Faisalabad, 74 from Multan, and 78 from Bahawalpur were promoted. IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar said that the process of promotions across all ranks in the police department will continue in line with merit and seniority. He emphasized that promotions and welfare are essential for boosting the morale of the force and ensuring their commitment to public service with greater enthusiasm. IG Punjab instructed the force to transfer the benefits of departmental promotions into more improved performance and prompt delivery of justice to the citizens.
