ISLAMABAD:Chairman CDA Muhammad Ali Randhawa on Wednesday directed the authority to launch a ‘mobile App’ for feeder buses, keeping in mind the convenience of the commuters.
The Capital Development Authority (CDA) chairman presided over a review meeting regarding routes of Islamabad feeder buses.
Randhawa instructed that a card system be introduced for citizens using the feeder bus service on a weekly and monthly basis.
He directed that work be initiated to operate feeder buses on different routes including from Tarnol to Secretariat, Bhara Kahu to Pirwadhai, and Rawat Chowk to Secretariat.
He instructed that while planning the feeder bus routes, it should be ensured that these routes pass near Islamabad’s marakiz, universities, hospitals, and other important locations.
He also emphasized that work should be done to provide subsidies for deserving people and senior citizens.
Chairman CDA Muhammad Ali Randhawa further directed that digital boards be introduced for advertisements at bus terminals, and that all bus terminals be developed with state-of-the-art facilities.
At the end of the meeting, the CDA Chairman reaffirmed the commitment to establish a high-quality, cost-effective, and environmentally friendly transport network.
