ISLAMABAD,:A lower court on Monday granted the FIA a further two-day physical remand of a sub-inspector of capital police allegedly involve in kidnapping and molesting the children.
Judicial Magistrate Ahmed Shahzad Gondal heard the case wherein the FIA presented the accused Sohaib Ali Shah before the court.
The investigation officer informed the court that the accused had confessed to keep the children in his illegal custody. The accused had stated that the kids were kept in the police station.
The IO prayed the court for more five-day remand of the accused for further investigation. The court, however, approved two days remand and instructed the prosecution to produce the accused again after completion of remand. It may be mentioned here that the FIA had registered a case against the accused under Torture and Custodial Act.
