IG Punjab visited Mayo Hospital and Lahore High Court.

Lahore:Inspector General of Police Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar visited Mayo Hospital and Lahore High Court. On this occasion, DIG Security/Legal Awais Ahmad, DIG Operations Lahore Muhammad Faisal Kamran and other senior police officers were present. Punjab Police spokesperson shared the details and said that the IG Punjab visited citizen Asif Javed, who is undergoing treatment at Mayo Hospital, and enquired about his well-being and prayed for his speedy recovery. IG Punjab also met the family of citizen Asif. IG Punjab directed that citizen Asif be provided with the best possible treatment facilities. IG Punjab assured the citizen about the provision of justice. Later, IG Punjab visited the Lahore High Court and inspected the crime scene. DIG Security Awais Ahmad, SP Security Lahore Abdul Wahab and senior officers were present. Dr. Usman Anwar ordered to further tighten the security and checking mechanism of the Lahore High Court. Punjab Police spokesperson shared that Muhammad Asif Javed had attempted self-immolation in the premises of the Lahore High Court. IG Punjab said that police officers, officials and citizens saved Asif’s life by taking timely action.
