Lahore:Inspector General of Police Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar’s mission to provide shelter to the families of police martyrs continues. In this regard, IG Punjab has provided a house to the family of a police officer who attained martyrdom in the line of duty. The family of Martyred Constable Muhammad Jahangir has been given a house worth 13.5 million rupees. Punjab Police spokesperson said that the family of the martyr was provided with a house in the best housing scheme of Rahim Yar Khan, as per their preference. Martyred Constable Muhammad Jahangir embraced martyrdom in 2024 while bravely fighting against cowardly attacks by criminals in the Kacha area. The family of the martyr includes his parents, two brothers, and one sister. Upon the special efforts of IG Punjab, the Punjab government allocated funds for the martyr’s family’s house. IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar, while paying tribute to the immortal sacrifice of Martyred Constable Muhammad Jahangir, said that Constable Muhammad Jahangir laid down his life while fulfilling his duties, without caring for his own safety.
