Lahore :Inspector General of Police Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar visited Safe City Rawalpindi. RPO Rawalpindi Babar Sarfraz Alpa, CPO Rawalpindi Syed Khalid Hamdani, SSP Operations, SSP IC III and other officers were also present. IG Punjab reviewed the command and control room of Safe City. On this occasion, RPO and CPO Rawalpindi gave a briefing regarding the working of Safe City. IG Punjab directed that the remaining civil work and planning and decoration work of the Safe City project should be completed soon. Make full use of Safe City’s artificial intelligence-based facilities for accessing criminals and effective investigation. IG Punjab said that Safe City is also playing a key role in traffic management, environmental protection surveillance and prevention of encroachments. Safe City projects are an example in community policing and are providing excellent services to help citizens. In view of the twin cities, the performance should be further improved through effective coordination with Safe City Islamabad. Coordination with other law enforcement agencies should be improved to ensure law and order security. The scope of Safe City projects is being extended to all districts and tehsils of Punjab.
