Islamabad: IG Islamabad Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi held an important meeting with the officers of the Operations Division, reviewed in detail the cases under investigation in the Investigation Wing, ongoing operations against the accused in the Sadar Zone and the steps taken to promote people-friendly policing. The IG Islamabad also issued clear instructions for effective strategy and immediate results. According to the details, Inspector General of Police Islamabad Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi met DIG Islamabad Jawad Tariq, SSP Investigation Usman Tariq Butt and SP Sadar Zone Abdul Qayyum at the Central Police Office. On this occasion, a detailed review was taken of the serious cases under investigation in the Investigation Wing, ongoing operations against the criminal elements in the Sadar Zone and the steps taken to promote people-friendly policing. The IG Islamabad issued clear instructions for effective strategy and immediate results. He said that all officers should make a special action plan to eliminate serious crimes, use modern technology and all available resources to arrest the accused involved in crimes. An effective crackdown should be ensured against the criminals, the fugitives from justice and the declared criminals should be arrested as soon as possible and strict action should be taken against the elements who are sheltering them. Issuing further instructions to the officers, he said that the patrols of the Dolphin Squad should be made more effective to ensure that the criminals are stopped and the officers should be available at all times to help the citizens. He added that the presence of police officers should be a source of security for the citizens and a source of fear for the criminals. The protection of the lives and property of the citizens and the establishment of law and order in the federal capital are among the top priorities of the Islamabad Police.
