Lahore:On the instructions of Inspector General of Police Punjab, Dr. Usman Anwar, weekly general parades were held across the province, including in Lahore. According to details, senior police officers inspected the parade, while the participating units presented a formal salute. Officers and personnel from Police Lines, Dolphin Force, Anti-Riot Force, Traffic Police, Mujahid Squad, SPU, Ladies Police, OCU, Investigation Wing, and Operations Wing of various police stations participated in the general parade. Senior officers also inspected the turnout of officers and personnel taking part in the parade. Smartly dressed units participating in the parade performed a march-past, and women personnel also took part in the event. These general parades are being held regularly every Monday throughout the province. District officers also conducted inspections of the armouries, Motor Transport Wing, miscellaneous stores, uniform warehouses, and other departments. IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar said that the purpose of the general parade is to keep the personnel alert and to promote discipline, unity, and camaraderie. He further said that parades are a fine demonstration of discipline in any force and help maintain the fitness of officers and personnel. He added that the parade reflects the history, heritage, and traditions of the police force.
