Lahore:The campaign for the evacuation of illegally residing foreign nationals across Punjab is ongoing. In continuation of this effort, 13,442 illegally residing individuals, including Afghans, have been evacuated from the province. Punjab Police Spokesperson said that during the evacuation campaign, 13,520 illegally residing individuals have been shifted to holding centers, while 78 illegal residents are currently present at the holding points. The spokesperson further said that 5 holding centers have been established in Lahore and 46 across the province.IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar said that security is on high alert, and the evacuation of all illegally residing individuals is being ensured. He said that the policy for the evacuation of illegally residing foreign nationals is being implemented in accordance with international laws, and human rights are being fully considered during the evacuation process.
