Lahore:On the directions of Inspector General Police Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar, the weekly general parade was held across the province including Lahore. According to details, senior police officers inspected the parade while the contingents presented salute. Personnel and officers from Police Lines, Dolphin Force, Anti-Riot Force, Traffic Police, Mujahid Squad, SPU, Ladies Police, OCU, Investigation Wing, and Operation Wing of police stations participated in the general parade. Senior officers also checked the turnout of the officers and personnel participating in the parade.Alert and well-prepared contingents of the personnel taking part in the general parade conducted a march past, and female personnel also participated in the general parade. General parades are being regularly held across the province every Monday. District officers also inspected armories, motor transport wings, miscellaneous stores, uniform warehouses, and other departments.IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar said that the purpose of the general parade is to keep the personnel alert and to maintain an atmosphere of discipline, unity, and brotherhood among them. He further said that the parade is the best demonstration of discipline in any force, and the general parade helps officers and personnel maintain their fitness. He added the parade reflects the history, heritage, and tradition of the police force.
