ISLAMABAD: Islamabad’s top police officers, including DIGs and SSPs, visited checkpoints across the city and provided cold beverages to on-duty personnel to boost morale amid the ongoing heatwave.An official told APP on Sunday that in line with the IGP Islamabad’s directives, cold drinks are being distributed to officers on field duty to protect them from the effects of the weather and to keep them refreshed.On this occasion, senior police officers stated that the officers safeguarding the lives and property of citizens in extreme heat are our heroes. All officers of the Islamabad Police are committed to protecting the public, regardless of personal discomfort.They further stated that harsh weather conditions cannot become an obstacle to the determination of Islamabad Police officers. Neither intense heat, sunlight, nor other seasonal challenges can weaken their resolve and courage.They added that the officers of the Islamabad Police are ensuring the safety of the city with great spirit and high morale. On this occasion, senior officers also encouraged the police personnel stationed at the checkpoints.
