LAHORE :Punjab Police’s Khidmat Marakiz (Service Centers) are actively engaged in providing digital services to the citizens. Punjab Police spokesperson while sharing details, said that over 1.642 million citizens have availed policing services from Khidmat Marakiz so far this year. He said that over 734,000 citizens obtained general police verification, while more than 405,000 citizens received police character certificates. The spokesperson further shared that more than 187,000 citizens registered tenancy records, while 81,284 citizens obtained medico-legal certificates. Similarly, under the initiatives for vulnerable segments of society, 64,537 individuals were provided legal and social protection. 20,000 citizens availed the vehicle verification service. The spokesperson further revealed that 41,782 citizens reported loss of documents, 2,390 cases were registered under crime reporting, and over 83,000 citizens received copies of FIRs, while 28 women violence reports were registered. He added that more than 19,000 citizens registered under Employees Registration (ROPE), while 1,573 citizens obtained police verification for private employment.Inspector General of Punjab Police said that Khidmat Marakiz are a remarkable flagship project of public service delivery, providing citizens with facilities 24/7. He further said that hundreds of thousands of citizens across the province, including Lahore, are benefiting from the facilities of police service centers every month, while services are being further upgraded in light of citizens’ feedback.
