Punjab Police intensified Search, Sweep, and Combing Operations across the Province

Lahore:In view of the arrival of Muharram-ul-Haram, search, sweep, and combing operations are ongoing by Punjab Police across the province including Lahore. As part of this ongoing effort, during the past 24 hours, 451 combing operations were conducted, 18,498 suspicious individuals were checked, and 100 suspected persons were taken into custody.Punjab Police spokesperson while sharing the details, said that 28 search and sweep operations were carried out, 2,466 persons were interrogated, and 04 suspected individuals were arrested. A total of 485 proclaimed offenders involved in heinous crimes, 198 court absconders, and 112 habitual criminals were also apprehended. Spokesperson of Punjab Police further said that a large quantity of illegal arms and ammunition was recovered from the possession of criminals and suspected individuals.During the actions taken against criminal elements, 06 criminals were neutralized, 06 injured, and 08 were arrested. Inspector General of Punjab Police stated that search, sweep, and combing operations will continue in order to hold terrorists and anti-state elements accountable.
