Punjab Police Conducts Search, Sweep, and Combing Operations Across the Province Including Lahore

In view of the arrival of Muharram, and on the instructions of Inspector General of Police Punjab, Dr. Usman Anwar, search, sweep, and combing operations are underway across the province, including Lahore. As part of these efforts, 373 combing operations were conducted in the last 24 hours, during which 12,174 suspects were checked and 35 suspects were detained. According to the Punjab Police spokesperson, 23 search and sweep operations were carried out, during which 2,549 individuals were questioned and 3 suspects were arrested. Additionally, 228 proclaimed offenders, 85 court absconders, and 56 habitual criminals involved in heinous crimes were arrested. A large quantity of illegal weapons and ammunition was recovered from the possession of criminals and suspects. During operations against criminal elements, 4 criminals were neutralized while 6 others were arrested in injured condition. IG Punjab emphasized that search, sweep, and combing operations will continue across the province to ensure the accountability of terrorists and anti-national elements.
