Islamabad : IG Islamabad Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi held a law and order review meeting, including a visit to Imambargahs and an open court. The security arrangements for Muharram-ul-Haram were reviewed in the meeting. He met with the police officers on duty during the visit to Imambargahs, while giving instructions to make security more effective and orders were issued for immediate resolution of citizens’ problems in the open court. According to the details, Inspector General of Police Islamabad Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi held a law and order review meeting, including a visit to Imambargahs and an open court. The IG Islamabad held a special meeting at the Central Police Office to review law and order. In the meeting, he issued orders to the police officers to keep security on high alert during Muharram-ul-Haram and said that additional personnel should be deployed there to ensure foolproof security arrangements of Imambargahs. All officers should meet with the administrators of Imambargahs and visit the procession routes themselves, while for effective surveillance, the cameras and Drones should be used, all resources should be used for the surveillance of processions and Imambargahs, all officers should always strive for better arrangements so that a coordinated security plan can be maintained throughout the city, along with this, the IG Islamabad organized an open court at the Central Police Office Islamabad under the “open door policy”, he listened to the problems of citizens and police officers and issued instructions to the concerned officers to resolve them on the spot, while issuing instructions to the officers that the merit and immediate resolution of the problems of citizens is our top priority, he issued orders to the concerned officers on the complaints of citizens and said that the applications should be resolved on merit within the stipulated time, in the same vein, the IG Islamabad visited Imambargahs in the federal capital, senior police officers were also present on this occasion, he reviewed the security arrangements of Imambargahs and met with the police officers on duty while also giving instructions to make security more effective, he Issuing orders, he said that all officers should ensure strict security arrangements for gatherings and processions during Muharram-ul-Haram, and all institutions should strengthen coordination among themselves. He further said that meetings have also been held with scholars and mashaikhs of all schools of thought, members of the peace committee and intellectuals so that harmony can be promoted during these holy days of Muharram-ul-Haram and an atmosphere of peace and harmony can be established with consensus. Meanwhile, more than 16,000 officers of Islamabad Police, Pakistan Rangers, Special Branch, Logistics Division, CTD, Lady Police and Traffic Police have also been deployed for foolproof security of 181 processions and 965 gatherings across the district from 1st Muharram-ul-Haram, so that an atmosphere of peace and harmony can be maintained in the city.
