Lahore:On the instructions of Inspector General of Police Punjab, Dr. Usman Anwar, anti-narcotics operations are being carried out across the province under the vision of a Drug-Free Punjab. In the past 24 hours, Punjab Police conducted 233 raids on suspected drug dealers’ hideouts and arrested 126 suspects involved in drug trafficking, with FIRs registered against them. According to the Punjab Police spokesperson, authorities seized 53 kilograms of charas, 11 kilograms of heroin, 6 kilograms of ice (methamphetamine), and 1,277 liters of liquor from the accused. IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar has ordered further intensification of special operations against drug dealers and smugglers. He directed officers to bring all individuals involved in the drug supply chain to justice and ensure they face strict punishments. He also emphasized accelerating operations against those selling drugs near educational institutions and hostels.
