Lahore:A video link orderly Room was held at the Central Police Office under the chairmanship of Inspector General of Police Punjab, Dr. Usman Anwar. Sub-Inspectors who had been deprived of promotions presented their grievances during the session. DIG Establishment I, Suleman Sultan Rana, AIG Admin Dr. Asad Ijaz Malhi, and other officers were present on the occasion, while 69 Sub-Inspectors serving in various districts, units, and wings of Punjab participated via video link.Punjab Police spokesperson shared that the Sub-Inspectors, who had been deprived of promotions, presented their individual cases. During the orderly Room, appeals from 53 Sub-Inspectors were approved, 13 were rejected, and 3 were directed for re-evaluation. IG Punjab said that the promotion process in Punjab Police continues uninterrupted, based on merit, seniority, and transparency. In the promotion of officers, a transparent career record, complete service history, field experience, and intelligence reports are of paramount importance. Cases of officers deprived of promotions for various reasons will be considered in upcoming boards. IG Punjab further emphasized that officers seeking promotion to various positions should maintain complete ACRs and other records while serving the nation and the country with integrity.
