LAHORE:Under the guidance of Inspector General of Police Punjab, Dr. Usman Anwar, anti-drug operations by Punjab Police are continuing across the province in line with the Drug-Free Punjab vision. Punjab Police spokesperson provided details, that during last 24 hours, 153 raids were conducted on drug dealers’ hideouts, resulting in the arrest of 89 drug dealers. A total of 31 kilograms of charas, 3 kilograms of ice, and 970 liters of alcohol were seized from the arrested individuals. IG Punjab has instructed that special operations against drug dealers and smugglers continue with increased speed and intensity. He emphasized that all individuals involved in the supply chain should be apprehended and given severe penalties under the law. Furthermore, operations against individuals involved in drug dealing near educational institutions and hostels should be expedited.
