ISLAMABAD:Director General (DG) Safe City Shakir Hussain Dawar chaired an important meeting at the Safe City Headquarters to review the completion of previously assigned targets and deliberate on measures to ensure the effective use of body-worn cameras during police station duties, major events, and law and order operations.An police official told APP on Thursday that SSP Safe City Dr. Muhammad Iqbal, the Director IT, and other senior officers also attended the meeting. He said DG Safe City carried out accountability regarding the progress on earlier set goals and held detailed discussions on enhancing the operational deployment of body-worn cameras.He said Shakir further directed close coordination with the Child Protection Unit to implement concrete steps for the safety of unattended children and the recovery of missing minors.He added that DG Safe City instructed officers to expand the capacity of the surveillance cameras and strengthen the monitoring system across the capital. He said the aim is to tighten the noose around criminal elements and improve overall security through upgraded surveillance and technological support.
