Bangladesh High Commissioner to Pakistan visited Punjab Safe Cities Authority, with a high level delegation.

Lahore:Bangladesh High Commissioner to Pakistan, Iqbal Hussain Khan, visited the Punjab Safe Cities Authority along with a high-level delegation. The delegation included senior officers from the Ministry of Home Affairs and Police officers of Bangladesh including H.E. Mr. Nasimul Ghani, Senior Secretary, Ministry of Home Affairs Mr. Md. Rezaul Karim, Additional IG of Police Mr. Md. Mahbubur Rahman, Deputy Secretary and Mr. Md. Zannatul Hassan, Additional Deputy IG of Police, among others, who were welcomed by senior officers of the Safe Cities Authority. IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar and members of the delegation discussed bilateral security matters between Punjab and Bangladesh. MD Safe Cities Muhammad Ahsan Younas and COO Mustansar Feroze gave the delegation a tour of various departments of Safe City and provided detailed briefings. The delegation was informed about the advanced technology, artificial intelligence, and security modules used under the Safe Cities project. Bangladeshi officers observed the modern monitoring system through Safe City cameras in Lahore and other cities.Furthermore, the delegation was also briefed on the latest features of the Emergency Helpline 15. They expressed keen interest in the Women Safety App, Virtual Women Police Station, Virtual Center for Child Safety, and Traffic Management System. The Bangladeshi officers highly appreciated Pakistan’s Safe City project, calling it exemplary and a role model for the region, and agreed to further enhance mutual cooperation in technology, security, and training sectors. On this occasion, the delegation was presented with a commemorative shield by the Punjab Safe Cities Authority. Senior officials from National Radio Telecommunication (NRTC) were also present.
