ISLAMABAD: The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) has foiled two separate attempts to travel abroad using forged documents, offloading five passengers bound for Hong Kong from Islamabad Airport and arresting another man at Lahore Airport who tried to fly to Romania.According to an FIA spokesperson, five passengers Bushra, Amjad Ali, Alizeh Shaheen, Muhammad Adnan, and Zeeshan Ali Khan were intercepted at Islamabad Airport while attempting to travel to Hong Kong on Thailand visit visas.nvestigations revealed that only Amjad Ali was the real son of female passenger Bushra, while the other three were falsely presented as her children using forged documents.The FIA discovered that families of the passengers had paid Rs15 million each to an agent who tampered with NADRA records. The three individuals were fraudulently added to the family of one Ijaz Ali and registered with an address in Swabi.In reality, Alizeh Shaheen belonged to Sargodha, Muhammad Adnan to Attock, and Zeeshan Ali to Khushab.The FIA confirmed that the scope of the investigation has been extended to NADRA and passport officials, while a Pakistan Airport Authority official who facilitated the passengers is also under interrogation. All suspects have been transferred to the Anti-Human Trafficking Circle Islamabad for further legal action.In a separate incident at Allama Iqbal International Airport Lahore, FIA immigration officials arrested Abdul Rashid, who attempted to travel to Romania on a forged work visa via flight number FZ-360.During immigration clearance, Rashid’s documents raised suspicion. Upon verification, his Romanian work visa was found to be fake, though it carried the original sticker of the Protector of Emigrants on his passport.Initial investigations revealed that Rashid had acquired the fake visa for Rs1.8 million from two agents, identified as Muhammad Munir and Muhammad Zaman. The suspect was handed over to the Anti-Human Trafficking Circle Lahore for further proceedings.
