Lahore:Additional IG Investigation Punjab Shahzada Sultan, AIG Operations Zahid Nawaz Marwat, AIG Development Dr. Muhammad Rizwan Ahmad along with other senior officers were present in the meeting, while Commandant PC, DIG SPU & Welfare, RPOs of Faisalabad and Gujranwala regions, CPOs, DPOs, SSP Traffic Punjab, and District Traffic Officers participated via video link. IG Punjab reviewed in detail the security of Chinese and other foreign nationals, prevention of traffic accidents and overloading, crime control, welfare, and progress on development projects IG Punjab announced a commemorative shield along with an appreciation letter for DPO Mandi Bahauddin Waseem Riaz for the best overall performance. Similarly, he also paid tribute to DPO Muzaffargarh, Narowal, Sialkot, and other concerned officers for excellent performance in rescue and relief operations in flood-affected areas.Dr. Usman Anwar said that excellent coordination exists between District Police, Safe Cities, and CCD for the arrest of suspects involved in heinous crimes and for crime prevention. He directed integrated measures for the elimination of dacoity, robbery, vehicle and motorcycle theft, and to increase recovery. IG Punjab emphasized the arrest of A-Category proclaimed offenders, effective challaning in narcotics cases, and ensuring convictions. The meeting also discussed effective use of the e-Police application, e-FOS system, redressal of complaints received on 1787, completion of Saiban offices, and accurate entry in information sheets. Dr. Usman Anwar further directed that immediate registration of cases under the Anti-Rape Act, and swift recovery of abducted and missing women and children must be ensured at all costs.
