ISLAMABAD:Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT) Police’s Shalimar Police Station team led operations that resulted in the arrest of eight outlaws and the recovery of drugs and weapons during separate actions across the federal capital.An official told APP on Wednesday that police teams from Shalimar, Koral, Nilore, and Shahzad Town Police Stations arrested five suspects and recovered 4,135 grams of heroin, 1,661 grams of ice, and two pistols with ammunition from their possession.He said that cases have been registered against the accused and further investigation is underway. Additionally, during a special campaign to apprehend absconders and proclaimed offenders, three more criminals were also arrested.Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Operations Islamabad Muhammad Shoaib Khan said that the Islamabad Police is continuously working to ensure the protection of citizens’ lives and property in the federal capital.“No one will be allowed to disrupt the peace of the city,” he said, adding that maintaining law and order and ensuring public safety remain the top priorities of Islamabad Police.
