LAHORE:Inspector General of Police Punjab, Dr. Usman Anwar, continues to take practical steps for the welfare and rehabilitation of the special children of police personnel. As part of this ongoing initiative, a fund of Rs. 3 million has been released for the children of police employees suffering from cerebral palsy. According to the spokesperson of Punjab Police, Rs. 30,000 per child has been provided to 100 children with cerebral palsy from the police force. Under the welfare plan, a monthly stipend of Rs. 10,000 per child is being given to support these special children. So far this year, a total of Rs. 59.2 million has been disbursed for the care and support of these children of police employees. IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar said that all possible resources are being utilized for the treatment, rehabilitation, and better future of the special children of the police force. He further added that the welfare process is being expanded to ensure a more dignified, easier, and better life for the special children of police employees.
