Islamabad :A senior officer serving at the National Computing and Cyber Infrastructure Authority (NCCIA) has reportedly been abducted by unidentified armed men in Islamabad. According to police records, the case was officially registered at Shams Colony Police Station under Section 365 of the Pakistan Penal Code.As per the First Information Report (FIR No. 457/25), the victim, Muhammad Usman, who was working as Deputy Director (Operations) at NCCIA, was allegedly kidnapped near Zahra Heights, Sector H-13, Islamabad, on October 14, 2025, around 7:30 PM. The incident occurred approximately three kilometers northeast of the police station.The complaint was lodged by Rozina Usman, the victim’s wife and a resident of Lahore. In her written statement, she stated that her husband was working on several sensitive national projects and was temporarily residing in Islamabad for official duties.Rozina added that she immediately reported the incident via police helpline 15, but after receiving no updates, she traveled from Lahore to Islamabad to file a formal complaint. She urged the authorities to recover her husband and take legal action against those responsible.Following her written complaint, Sub-Inspector Tousif Ahmed registered the FIR and initiated the investigation. He, along with Head Constable Qadeer (1978/HC), has been assigned to visit the crime scene and gather evidence. Copies of the FIR have been forwarded to senior officials for further coordination.The case remains under investigation, and to date, no suspects have been identified. Authorities have yet to release any official statement regarding the motive behind the abduction or whether it is linked to Usman’s professional assignments at NCCIA.
