RAWALPINDI,: The Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF), conducting 5 operations across the country, recovered as many as 136.82 kilograms of drugs worth more than Rs 36.3 million and arrested 5 suspects, including a woman, said an ANF Headquarters spokesman on Friday.He informed that 380 grams of hashish were recovered from a vehicle near a University area in H-9 Islamabad, and the accused was arrested.The arrested suspect confessed to selling drugs to students of educational institutions.In another operation, 134 heroin filled capsules weighing 690 grams were recovered from the stomachs of a man and a woman travelling to Sharjah at Bacha Khan International Airport.As many as 500 grams of opium were recovered from the possession of a passenger near Haji Shah bus stop, GT Road,Attock.Similarly, 250 grams of heroin were recovered from a shopping bag in the luggage of an accused near Shah Shams Toll Plaza, Multan.As much as 135 kg of ice was recovered from a truck near a factory on CPEC Road, Panjgor.Cases have been registered against the arrested suspects under the Narcotics Control Act, and further investigations are underway.
