ISLAMABAD: Additional Inspector General (AIG) North Region, Muhammad Wisal Fakhar Sultan, on Tuesday presented commendation certificates to officers of the National Highways and Motorway Police (NH&MP) in recognition of their outstanding performance, dedication, and professionalism.The formal ceremony, held at the AIG North Region office, celebrated officers who demonstrated exceptional commitment to duty and operational excellence in ensuring road safety and efficient traffic management across the region, said a press release.Special recognition was accorded to officers who provided critical assistance to a foreign national, Mr. Zao, a citizen of China. The tourist, who communicates only in Chinese, was located alone and disoriented on the motorway carriageway. The NHMP officers ensured his safety and provided the necessary assistance, successfully resolving the situation.The ceremony was attended by the Deputy Inspector General (DIG) of the N-5 Zone and the Deputy Inspector General (DIG) of the Motorway Zone. Senior officials commended the awarded officers for their unwavering professionalism, integrity, and steadfast commitment to ensuring public safety and the efficient management of traffic across the North Region.
