RAWALPINDI:The Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF), conducting 6 operations across the country, recovered as many as 208.3 kilograms of drugs worth Rs 184.3 million and arrested 7 suspects, said an ANF Headquarters spokesman on Friday.He informed that 2.4 kg of hashish was recovered from the possession of an accused near a hospital on GT Road, Rawalpindi.As many as 600 grams of hashish were recovered from a vehicle near the Motorway Toll Plaza in Islamabad, and 2 accused were arrested.The arrested accused confessed to selling drugs to students of educational institutions During another operation, 144 grams of cannabis oil were recovered from a parcel sent from the UK at a courier office in Chaklala, Rawalpindi, and the accused was arrested.As many as 36 kg of hashish was recovered from an accused near Brooks Chowrangi in Korangi, Karachi Similarly,19.2 kg of hashish was recovered from a vehicle near Chenab Bridge GT Road, Gujrat and 2 accused were arrested on the spot.As many as 150 kg of heroin was recovered near Western Bypass, Hazarganji District, Quetta.Cases have been registered against the arrested suspects under the Narcotics Control Act, and further investigations are underway.
