He replaces SSP Operations Muhammad Shoaib Khan, who earned widespread recognition for his active crackdown on land grabbers and criminal gangs. Shoaib Khan’s effective leadership made him a source of fear for such elements. His services have now been placed at the disposal of the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) for his next assignment. After assuming charge, SSP Operations Capt (R) Ali Raza Qazi held an introductory meeting with all SDPOs and SHOs, instructing them to intensify operations against organized criminal gangs, drug peddlers, and illegal arms carriers. He directed that all police units ensure the arrest of proclaimed offenders, habitual criminals, and members of motorcycle and car theft gangs, emphasizing that strict legal action must be taken against anyone involved in unlawful activities.“Protection of citizens’ lives and property is our foremost priority,” SSP Qazi said, adding that all available resources would be utilized to uphold the rule of law and eliminate crime. He emphasized effective and purposeful patrolling, ensuring that all field units remain visible and proactive in their assigned areas. “No compromise will be tolerated on peace and public security,” he stated. The SSP further directed officers to take swift action against drug peddlers, illegal weapons, and land grabbers, reaffirming his commitment to making Islamabad a crime-free and peaceful city.
