27th Annual General Meeting of Punjab Municipal Development Fund Company (PMDFC) Held

LAHORE, Aug 27 (NNI): Punjab Chief Minister (CM) Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi on Saturday telephoned Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) Secretary General Asad Umar and former prime minister and PTI Chairman Imran Khan’s chief of staff Senator Shibli Faraz and asked them to request Imran on his behalf to appeal to philanthropists for donations for the people affected by worst floods in the country’s history.
He said that the entire country had been affected by floods. “Therefore, it is imperative to set all political differences aside and work for alleviating the sufferings of the people,” he emphasized.
The CM said that everybody would have to play his and her role for the repair of roads and rebuilding of schools and hospitals destroyed by floods. “Similarly, the provision of food, medicines and other stuff to flood victims should also be our top priority,” Chaudhry Pervaiz said in his telephonic talk with the PTI leaders. He, on the occasion, also expressed the resolve not to sit idle until and unless each person affected by floods was rehabilitated. NNI
