LAHORE: Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif expressed deep grief and sorrow over the death of Shamshad Akhtar, the first woman governor of the State Bank of Pakistan.In a condolence message, the chief minister extended heartfelt sympathies to the bereaved family and paid tribute to the late Shamshad Akhtar’s valuable services to the country, particularly her contributions to the financial and economic sectors.CM Maryam Nawaz prayed for the eternal peace of the departed soul and for strength and patience for the family to bear the loss.
